KareConnect – NDIS Terms &
Conditions
These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of the KareConnect platform, products, and services (“Services”). By accessing or using KareConnect, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms, in line with Australian law and the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) Code of Conduct.
1. Purpose of These Terms
The purpose of these Terms is to clearly outline the rights, responsibilities, and obligations of KareConnect and its users, including NDIS participants, providers, and authorised representatives. These Terms are designed to ensure safe, transparent, and compliant use of KareConnect’s services. By agreeing to these Terms, you acknowledge that KareConnect is a technology platform designed to support the NDIS journey, but not a direct service provider. These Terms therefore help everyone understand their role, their obligations, and how to make the most of KareConnect in a safe, lawful, and supportive way.
2. Eligibility
To use KareConnect, you must meet certain eligibility requirements. These requirements help ensure that the platform is used safely, responsibly, and in line with the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) framework. You must be at least 18 years of age to use KareConnect, unless authorised by a guardian or representative.
By using the Services, you confirm that you are either:
- An NDIS participant,
- A registered or unregistered NDIS provider,
- A nominee, guardian, or authorised representative.
3. Services Provided
KareConnect is a digital platform created to support participants, providers, and representatives in managing services and responsibilities under the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS). While KareConnect is not itself a direct NDIS service provider, we supply tools and resources that make it easier to manage supports, maintain compliance, and improve communication.
KareConnect offers tools and features that support:
- NDIS participant management,
- rostering and scheduling,
- invoicing and compliance reporting,
- communication and collaboration between providers, participants, and support teams.
KareConnect is not a direct NDIS service provider. We act as a technology platform to support your NDIS journey.
4. User Responsibilities
When using KareConnect, all users—participants, providers, support workers, and authorised representatives—have certain responsibilities to ensure the platform is safe, respectful, and compliant with NDIS and Australian legal standards.
By accessing or using KareConnect, you agree to:
- Provide accurate and up-to-date information at all times.
- Use the platform in a lawful and respectful manner.
- Ensure that your login details are kept secure and not shared without permission.
- Comply with the NDIS Code of Conduct and applicable Australian privacy and consumer laws.
Important Reminder: Failure to comply with these responsibilities may result in suspension, termination of your account, or referral to the NDIA and/or relevant authorities in line with Australian law.
5. NDIS Compliance
KareConnect is committed to supporting the values, principles, and requirements of the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS). While KareConnect is not itself a direct NDIS service provider, all users—participants, providers, support workers, and representatives—must ensure that their use of the platform aligns with NDIS rules, standards, and obligations.
All users must use KareConnect in a way that aligns with:
- The NDIS Practice Standards,
- The NDIS Code of Conduct,
- Relevant Australian laws and regulations.
KareConnect may suspend or terminate access if users engage in unlawful, fraudulent, or harmful conduct.
6. Data Security and Privacy
KareConnect understands that protecting personal and sensitive information is essential in supporting NDIS participants, providers, and their representatives. We are committed to managing data in a secure, transparent, and lawful manner in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth), the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs), and the safeguarding requirements of the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission.
- KareConnect manages personal and sensitive information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs).
- Your information is stored securely and only shared where required by law, or with your consent.
- Users are responsible for ensuring they do not misuse or unlawfully disclose data accessed through the platform.

Important Note: By using KareConnect, you acknowledge and agree that your information will be collected, stored, and managed in line with this Data Security and Privacy policy.
7. Fees and Payments
KareConnect operates as a subscription-based and/or service-based digital platform. To ensure transparency and fairness, this section explains how fees are charged, how payments are managed, and the responsibilities of users in relation to financial transactions.
- Fees for using KareConnect are outlined in your service agreement or subscription plan.
- Payments must be made in accordance with the agreed schedule.
- KareConnect reserves the right to update fees with reasonable notice.
Where relevant, pricing will be provided in Australian dollars (AUD) and inclusive of applicable Goods and Services Tax (GST).
8. Intellectual Property
KareConnect respects and protects intellectual property (IP) rights. Our platform, technology, and content are developed to support NDIS participants, providers, and representatives, and remain the legal property of KareConnect Pty Ltd unless otherwise stated.
- All software, design, trademarks, and content within KareConnect remain the property of KareConnect Pty Ltd.
- Users may not reproduce, copy, or modify any part of the Services without written consent.
KareConnect grants you a non-exclusive, non-transferable, and revocable licence to access and use the platform and its content solely for your personal use (if you are a participant) or professional use (if you are a provider or representative) in connection with the NDIS.
9. Limitation of Liability
KareConnect is committed to providing a secure, reliable, and supportive platform to assist participants, providers, and representatives in managing NDIS-related services. However, as with any digital service, there are limitations to what KareConnect can guarantee. This section outlines those limits in line with Australian consumer law.
While we take every effort to ensure reliability, KareConnect is not liable for:
- service interruptions,
- data loss,
- unauthorised access beyond our reasonable control.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, KareConnect’s total liability to any user for any claim arising from or related to the use of our Services is strictly limited to the total fees paid by the user to KareConnect in the 12 months prior to the claim. Our liability is limited to the maximum extent permitted under Australian consumer law.
10. Termination
This section sets out the circumstances under which either you (the user) or KareConnect may end, suspend, or restrict access to the Services. Termination rules are in place to protect all users, ensure compliance with the NDIS, and maintain a safe and secure platform.
- You may stop using KareConnect at any time.
- KareConnect may suspend or terminate accounts for breach of these Terms, unlawful activity, or non-payment of fees.
KareConnect may, at its discretion, reinstate a suspended or terminated account if the issues leading to termination are resolved. Reinstatement may be subject to additional conditions, including payment of outstanding fees or acceptance of updated Terms.
11. Updates to These Terms
KareConnect may update or amend these Terms and Conditions from time to time to reflect changes in the law, regulatory requirements, the NDIS framework, or improvements to our Services. This ensures that our Terms remain relevant, compliant, and fair for all users.
- KareConnect may update these Terms from time to time to reflect changes in law, policy, or Services.
- Users will be notified of significant updates via email or in-platform notices.
- Continued use of KareConnect after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
Nothing in an update will remove or reduce rights that you are entitled to under Australian consumer law or the NDIS framework.
12. Governing Law
These Terms and Conditions, and any dispute or claim arising from them, are governed by the laws of Australia. By using KareConnect, you agree that your rights and obligations, as well as ours, will be interpreted in line with Australian legislation and regulatory frameworks.
- These Terms are primarily governed by the laws of the State of New South Wales (NSW), where KareConnect Pty Ltd is registered and operates.
- These Terms must be read in conjunction with the NDIS Act 2013 (Cth), the NDIS Rules, and any regulations issued by the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission or the NDIA.
- Users of KareConnect are responsible for ensuring their use of the platform complies with NDIS obligations, including the NDIS Code of Conduct and Practice Standards.
Nothing in this section limits or excludes your rights under Australian Consumer Law or other mandatory Australian legislation that cannot lawfully be contracted out of.
